CJ Affiliate is one of the oldest and most well-known networks around. It has a massive range of programs, and you could even say it has all of them.

This network is great if you want access to an enormous range of programs to promote, though not all of them are great, so you’ll need to check them out before wasting traffic on some of them.

One benefit of CJ is that they will often have a better payout rate than going directly to the merchant, so that’s a significant benefit to use them as well.

47. Clickbank

Clickbank is a great network and provides good stats for you to review how well a program has been doing, how old it is, and how well it converts each of the options available. So you can get a good idea about a program before you start pushing traffic to it.

The payouts are very high, so you’ll do well if you can find an excellent converting program. You can promote physical or digital products, with digital offering big payouts in the 50-75% range.

48. Rakuten Affiliate Network

54. MaxBounty

MaxBounty offers a smaller number of programs, but they’re very diverse in the options available. You can promote anything from gaming to health products.

55. Commission Factory (Asia Pacific)

Commission Factory focuses on the Asia Pacific region, so if you have a lot of traffic coming from down under or parts of Asia, this could be a good network for you to grow your sales.

Just be sure not to send your European or US traffic to their programs; otherwise, you’ll be wasting leads.

It’s often a good idea to pick different networks for each of your region’s traffic to get the best programs.

60. Impact Radius Marketplace

Impact Radius is a smaller network; however, they provide a specialized tracking system which they claim provides 17% higher conversion than if you signed up through other networks.

How to choose an affiliate program

All of the complex research has been done for you. No matter what level of affiliate marketing you’re performing, you’ll find great options listed above with none of the unpleasant networks that can cause you problems. Be wary of any networks or programs not listed in this guide, and make sure you research if they’re legit and work well.

You will need to pick the section of programs that fit your current level and then decide which ones will work best for you. You’ll likely want to select multiple and test them out, find the right networks and programs that are optimal for how you work, and what kind of traffic you can provide.

Some pointers to pick the best networks are detailed before for you.

How established is your site/blog/social media following?

Are you new to affiliate marketing, and do you have a strong audience or source of the traffic to provide? Some networks and programs are more geared towards beginners, and it’s also advisable to split your traffic between different programs.

At a minimum, you don’t put all your eggs in one basket, and it also allows you to start testing what works best for the traffic you have.

If you’re still building your audience and figuring out what content to write, start with something you know and products you’d personally like to buy. That way, you come across as genuine, rather than just trying to stuff products down people’s throats.

Who is your audience?

What kind of audience do you currently have. Next, you need to look at what is bringing them to your website and make sure you’re targeting the right type of products to the right audience.

You also need to look at where your audience is coming from. For example, in some of the networks above, we saw that some are more geared towards Europe, or Asia Pacific, whereas others may not say but are likely geared towards North America.

So should you be trying to sell products from Australia to an audience in America? Probably not, you may also find that the Australian products won’t ship to America, so even if your audience did want the product, they can’t get it, and you get no sales.

What do you want to earn?

Are you looking to quit your 9-5 realistically, or is this just a side hustle to get beer money on the weekend? If you’re looking to earn big, then you probably need to look at higher ticket items. Unfortunately, selling on the Internet is a numbers game, and it’s going to be somewhat easier to sell one high ticket item than it will be to sell 100 cheap products that people don’t want.

You also need to start looking at your sites, what kind of content you’re writing, if you have good sales funnels or if you’re simply tagging products in your blog posts and hoping people click. Optimize your site for great content, but make sure you have an excellent way to sell and promote products to your audience.

When do you want to get started?

If the goal is to start right now, consider if your audience is big enough to get a position in the network or program. Some of the networks will review you and your website to see if you make the grade of who they want promoting products.

If you can’t get into the perfect program or network right now, you’ll need to start with other programs and build your audience until you can switch.

You’ll find the larger networks will let you in straight away, and the more niche or smaller networks want more quality and traffic before you can join.

The biggest piece of advice to take away, aside from the programs, is to get started right now. Build your traffic, build your content, and start working towards your goals. There are no limits on how many programs you can use and promote or even networks you can join. So join whatever you want, test them all out and see what works best for you right now.

Once you’ve grown your audience and content, you can review again if there are better programs to make more money with what you have built.

This article is pretty long, but it’s filled with great information and access to a range of different programs and networks to help you get started. So go review them and pick what you think will do well for what you have right now.
